11:00 Love: Article II Study Report
“The purpose of the Unitarian Universalist Association is to actively engage its members in the transformation of the world through liberating Love.”

Join us for our Summer Sharing Series where will explore a variety of topics including, but not limited to, the Unitarian Universalist Association’s proposed revision based on the Article II Study Report. This report cites Love as the glue that binds together UU’s shared values. Stating specifically that, “We are accountable to one another for doing the work of living our shared values through the spiritual discipline of Love.” Our extensive list of subjects for the summer includes descriptions of the proposed changes. Love, interdependence, Pluralism, Justice, Transformation, Generosity, and Equity. This series of subjects will begin and end with a closer look at our perception of just what UUs mean by love.

These services are designed to allow participants to share their thoughts if they choose to do so. Sharing is always voluntary; active listening is welcome too. While you are speaking, all others are asked to remain silent and listen carefully and completely. In part one of the discussion we do not permit cross-talk, reactions, or questions except to ask someone to repeat or clarify. This Sunday we will begin our roundtable-style services with Love.

10:00 Juneteenth: Unity in the Community
Join us at Earl Brown Park [https://www.deland.org/location/earl-brown-park-and-playground] at 11:00 am on June 17th as we celebrate unity in our community. We will enjoy entertainment, vendors, and food! Participants must bring their own chairs or blanket to sit on. The festivities go from 10 am - 3 pm and admission is free. Hope to see you there!

Interdependence. We honor the interdependent web of all existence.We covenant to cherish Earth and all beings by creating and nurturing relationships of care and respect. With humility and reverence, we acknowledge our place in the great web of life, and we work to repair harmed and damaged relationships.

The Unitarian Universalist Associations General Assembly will be in Pittsburgh, PA, or online for GA this June 21 – 25 and be part of a historic time in our beloved living tradition.

Delegates represent the aspirations and positions of Unitarian Universalist congregations in business votes at GA. They play a key role in our democratic process and this year, delegates will vote on new Article II language, elect a new UUA President and make other important decisions on behalf of congregations.
